Random Thoughts

I did it. I turned in my two week notice today. I just couldn't handle how my body was reacting to standing all day. My doctor would be so proud as she bugged me to quit as soon as I started. Greg was happy as well. I think I will probably go to a staffing agency and see if I can get a temp job until Gage is born.

I had a few contractions at work today, but I was able to sit for about 40 minutes as Pilar (co-worker) saw that I was in pain and made me sit and work on changing prices. The contractions were nothing serious. I was just dehydrated and needed to rest. I am fine now, but really tired.

I swear Gage is going to be a football player (watch Greg cringe - hehe). He moves around constantly and I can feel him getting stronger. At first he felt like bubbles popping in my belly and now it is definitely feeling like jabs. I'm sure he is a pound or more now. I can't wait to see him! I get more and more excited as the days go on.

We started registering at Babies R Us this weekend. It was fun, but I still think most of their products are overpriced. We are going to register at Target as well and I actually like the bedding there better. I love this one bedding set at Target that is kind of retro. I want to paint Gage's room green and accent with the colors that are in the bedding. We'll see what I actually do though.

Greg has been working hard on remodeling the kitchen. His dad and friends have been coming over to help as well (thanks Ken and Cameron!). They tore down the ugly soffets, fixed the electrical work, began stripping paint, and putting up new drywall. I can't wait until it is finished. It looks larger already, but is still so messy.

I thought I'd post a picture of my new nephew James. He was born March 21, 2006.

Isn't he adorable!
